Acupuncture for dental treatmentAcupuncture can have an important role in the treatment of dental problemsAcupuncture is a technique that has developed over thousands of years. Used by a range of medically trained practitioners, from anaesthetists to physiotherapists to dentists. Acupuncture can have an important role in the treatment of dental problems. We use acupuncture to treat dental related conditions. These include dental anxiety, sensitive gag reflexes, face and jaw pain and headaches. Dental Acupuncture treatment involves the insertion of very fine needles into certain areas of the head and neck, to elicit the desired response. For most dental treatments, acupuncture focuses on the head and neck area. Sessions generally last 15 – 25 minutes. This can help you to accept the dental treatment you need. It helps by either reducing your anxiety or minimising your sensitive gag reflex.Katie completes all acupuncture treatment.
