We’re here to help and in most cases able to offer you an appointment from 8.30am for our registered patients and 10.30am for non registered patients. These types of patients are, non registered patient of the practice, registered private patients (pay as you go), Denplan (both care and essentials schemes) and NHS.Not a patient at the Practice? Don’t worry, we can still help you.Which patient types can use this service – non registeredDental emergencies happen, and its worrying when you don’t have a dentist. However don’t worry, we are still here to help you. We offer all non registered patients of the dental practice our emergency dental appointments for the day from 10.30am Monday to Friday. These are offered on a first come first serve basis with priority given to our registered and Denplan patients for the first 2 hours of each day.We advise that if you don’t have a dentist that you also register with us. Once you have done this and have been seen as normal registered patient you will then be able to call us from 8am for any future emergency appointments.Even if you’re not registered with us, we are still here to help you!Dental Emergency Out of Hours ServiceWhich patient types can use this service – non registered, registered, Denplan Care, Denplan EssentialsIf you are having difficulties, and it’s out of our usual business hours, we provide an on call emergency dental care service for our Private and Denplan patients. This service can be accessed through our answer machine, and can be utilised on weekends and bank holidays between 8am and 12pm. You are required to leave a clearly recorded message with your details, and the dentist on call will contact you to discuss your dental problem before mid day.The number to call to access the dental emergency line is 01723 670 500.NHSWhich patient types can use this service – all patient typesFor NHS patients, we provide emergency dental appointments out of hours through the NHS 111 service. Please be advised, NHS dental patients must call 111 to access emergency care on weekends and bank holidays, and appointments at Newby are on a first come first served basis. If the 111 service cannot allocate you an appointment at Newby dentist, Scarborough, an alternative dental surgery will be made available. More information for the 111 service can be found here.NHS patients and non registered patients can access the private on call service, but please note, this will be on a private basis, and not covered by the NHS.
